Jamie K .  DipCBST - Owner

Jamie is a Registered Nurse and owner of Paws for Love Inc. and Paws on the Ranch Dog Training and Enrichment Center. Throughout her years of experience, she has discovered that she can put even the most nervous dog at ease just by sitting with him or her.  Jamie is not only patient with our puppies and kitties, but with her staff as well.  Jamie believes in life long learning and is always more than happy to share her knowledge with her staff.  Jamie’s love of animals led her to pursue diplomas in Animal Science, Canine Behaviour, Professional Pet Care, Dog Training and as a Veterinary Assistant. She is a member of the AABP(Association of Animal Behaviour Professionals).  Jamie has also taken courses and received her Equine Science Diploma through the University of Guelph and is also certified in pet first aid.    She is a graduate of a masters level canine behaviour diploma from the Companion Animal Sciences Institute and is a certified Canine Behaviourist.   Jamie also has worked for the Windsor Essex County Humane Society as an animal control officer and in the shelter behaviour department.  Jamie is the assessor and adjudicator for the Windsor Branch of Companion Paws Therapy Dog Training (http://www.companionpaws.ca/) .  Most recently she has completed the Aggression in Dogs Master Course and the Fearful Dog Professional Certification program. Lisa E.

Lisa rejoined our team in 2020, she previously worked with us at Paws for Love from 2007 until 2011 when she left to pursue her grooming certificate.  Lisa also spent a year at another daycare prior to coming to Paws for Love and has extensive experience managing a group of dogs in a daycare setting.  Lisa has earned a Diploma in Animal Care Assistant. Before returning to Paws for Love, Lisa spent almost 6 years working for the Windsor Essex County Humane Society as an animal caretaker working with the pound dogs with unknown temperaments.  She has proven herself to be a natural dog communicator working with the stray and frightened dogs. We are ecstatic to have Lisa back on our team,
Rachel B.

Rachel joined our team in 2020. She has a history of  working at the Windsor Essex County Humane Society in both the pound/kennel area as well as an adoption counsellor.  Rachel is looking forward to pursuing a career working in the animal care field.

Andy F.

We are very excited to have Andy join our Paws family in 2020. Andy is a CPDT-KA dog trainer and has numerous training certificates attached to her name. Andy has experience working at another daycare for over 2 years teaching classes and working on behaviour modification as well as supervising daycare play groups.  For the last two years she has been working at the Windsor Essex County Humane Society in the behaviour department conducting behaviour assessments and providing training assistance to newly adopted dogs. She has also volunteered her time assisting in the boot camp program working on behaviour modification to help available dogs become better adoption candidates. In the past she has worked as a veterinarian assistant in a local animal clinic. Andy is certified in pet first aid and has the following certificates attached to her portfolio; Solving Separation Anxiety, Dealing with Difficult Dog Issues, Canine Behaviour and more.

Paige H.

Paige is joining the Paws team in June 2020 and comes to us with a lot of knowledge and experience with a variety of different animals.  She volunteered at the Windsor Essex County Humane Society for a year taking care of the small animals and then was hired on and continues to be employed there for the past 4 years.  Paige has many responsibilities at the Humane Society as an adoption counsellor, animal caretaker, as well as assisting the behaviour department with dog assessments.  Paige has an incredible amount of patience and compassion for all animals, however it was quickly apparent that she had a special touch with the canines.  Paige has excellent knowledge on canine body language, as well as signs of stress or illness.  Paige continues to further her education and we welcome her to the Paws family as the incredible asset she is.
