Paws for Love Inc . is a dog daycare, grooming, training and boarding facility located in central Windsor, Ontario.
We provide a safe, fun alternative to traditional kennels because we offer your pets mental as well as physical stimulation throughout the day.

IN-HOUSE CONSULTS
TRICK TRAINING
Basic Obedience Class
No pre-requisite but puppy preschool is an asset.
Open to Dogs 4-Months and Up
Objective - To teach commands such as; Sit, Down, Stay, Release Cue, No Reward Mark, Reward Mark, Focus, Come, Stand, Loose leash walking etc. We touch on behavioural problems and discuss possible solutions.
Length of Course: 6 weeks, 1hr/week
Cost: $150 plus GST
All dogs attending any of the Paws For Love Inc. courses, requires a complete set of shots including Rabies, Da2PP, and Bordetella as well as they must be on a flea prevention program.
Each Class has a maximum of 5 Applicants per session.
Advanced Obedience Class
Pre-Requisite: Basic Obedience Class
Objective - Continue to work on command training, working towards off-leash training. Increased work with distance, distraction and duration. Heel work will be taught.
Length of Course: 4 weeks, 1hr/week
Puppy Pre-School
No pre-requisite
Open to Dogs <6-Months
Objective - To learn the benefits of socialization, grooming/handling, leadership, and touching on behavioural issues and solutions.
Includes off-leash play time (depends on dog).
Learn how to introduce your puppy to daily life encounters ensuring it is a positive experience. Our last class will teach some basic obedience commands such as Sit, Down & Focus.
Cost: $125 plus GST
All puppies attending Puppy Pre-School must have a minimum of their second set of shots

Jamie K ., Owner
Jamie is very busy juggling 2 careers as a Registered Nurse and as owner of Paws for Love Inc. Throughout her years of experience, she has discovered that she can put even the most nervous dog at ease just by sitting with him or her. Jamie is not only patient with our puppies and kitties, but with her staff as well. Jamie believes in life long learning and is always more than happy to share her knowledge with her staff. Jamie’s love of animals led her to pursue diplomas in Animal Science, Canine Behaviour, Professional Pet Care, Dog Training and as a Veterinary Assistant. Jamie is also taking courses for an equine science diploma through the University of Guelph. She has been researching canine behaviour and pet care for over 10 years. She is currently owned by 3 dogs, 2 cats, 2 rabbits and horses.
Christine has worked at Paws for Love since 2006. Her love for all animals is apparent the moment you meet her. She is patient and kind and all of our doggy and kitty friends just love her. Christine never misses a chance to volunteer her time to fundraising events held by the Humane Society. Christine has basic grooming experience and has completed the dog training course through the Animal Behaviour College. Christine is currently owned by 3 dogs.
Misty has worked at paws since 2010. Graduated from Triple Crown Academy in Texas as a canine trainer and behavioural specialist. Worked as a pet groomer for 4 years. Has received her pet first aid and CPR certificate from St. Clair College. Misty brings her extensive experience to Paws for Love and is an immense benefit to our team. Misty is currently owned by two dogs.
Jessica joined our team in 2010 and has proven to be an asset as our only Registered Vet Tech on staff. Jessica brings to us her medical knowledge as a graduate in 2005 from the University of Guelph, Ridgetown Campus. Jessica is currently owned by one dog and one cat.
Brandie is the newest addition to our team starting in 2011 and is our resident groomer. She is a graduate of Pets Beautiful in London Ontario in 1999. She brings over a decade of grooming experience to Paws. Brandie also has worked at a local pet store. She is currently owned by 2 energetic dogs.
Leslie has worked with us since 2008 and is a major asset to Paws. Leslie travelled to British Columbia to learn dog training from one of the country's leading dog trainers and graduated shortly before joining our team. The course consisted of both basic and advanced obedience and problem behaviours. She currently lives with a house full of pets.

Description - Dogs play together in a supervised environment. Indoor as well as outdoor play areas provided. Dogs will be separated based on age, temperament, size and activity level as deemed appropriate by our staff. All participating dogs must be up to date on their annual vaccinations, including DA2PP, Bordetella and Rabies. Dogs must be spayed or neutered. All dogs must attend a pre-enrollment interview to determine suitability for daycare. Parents must sign a responsibility waiver and fill out an application for enrollment. All dogs must enter premises on leash. We do not provide meals. Please ensure that your dog(s) has been fed prior to arrival at our facility. Basic manners will be encouraged such as, no excessive barking, no aggressive displays such as toy possessiveness, mounting, etc. Training tools used are spray bottles, shake cans, body blocking, verbal reprimands and time outs.

DAYCARE
Dog Sleepovers
Cost - Regular sleepover rates - * $28.00/night
Description - Dogs will sleep in our comfortable and spacious kennels. Dogs will have a minimum of 6 bathroom breaks and a minimum of one hour of playtime throughout the day. Playtime varies depending upon the amount of sleepover guests we have staying with us.All dogs must be up to date on all vaccinations including DA2PP, Bordetella, and Rabies. If they are participating in our socialization program, they will be required to be spayed or neutered. Boarding dogs will not have access to other dogs, unless specified by the parents ahead of time.Dogs will have access to fresh water at all times. We ask that you provide your dog's own food to decrease the stress of boarding. Some dogs will not eat in a strange environment. Bringing your own food allows for some familiarity. You are more than welcome to bring in toys, treats etc but we are not responsible for loss or damage. . Anything to decrease the stress of being away from you and their familiar surroundings will help greatly. Our goal is to make your pets stay with us as stress free as possible.
Cat Sleepovers
Cost - Regular sleepover rates - * $15.00/night
Description - Cats will stay in climate controlled condos with their own litterbox, climbing activities, lounging area and scratching posts. Cats will not interact with each other unless they are from the same family. All cats will be required to have up to date vaccinations. They will receive one on one affection and playtime alternating throughout the day. They will be allowed access to the play area throughout the day. Litter is cleaned daily. Cats will be fed according to your instructions. We ask that you provide the cat's food to decrease the stress of being in an unfamiliar environment. You are welcome to bring in any toys or treats for their comfort.

We do not use any type of sedation at Paws for Love Inc., therefore we do not accept aggressive pets. If your pet becomes too aggressive during its grooming session, Paws for Love Inc. reserves the right to end the session. You will then be called to come and pick up your pet. You will be charged according to the amount of work completed.
OBEDIENCE
Objective - Learn how to teach your dog different tricks such as: Spin, Shake, High-Five, Take A Bow, Play Dead, Roll Over, Speak etc.
Tricks will be taught based on your interests and/or requests.
Length of Course: 1-hour class
Cost: $50 plus GST
Objective - This is geard towards behavioural issues you may be having such as:
House Training
Jumping Up
Mouthing/Biting
Chewing etc.
We can also teach basic obedience cues one on one in your home.
Cost: $40 per hour
